KIdney Stones

                                                                           Kidney Stones

A part of life I will never forget is when I had my kidney stones. It started in 2nd grade. I felt sick all the time and I missed a lot of school. I stayed home most of the time and my mom didn’t really know what was going on but she kind of ignored it. She just wanted me to go to school and she never really thought I was sick enough to stay home because I wasn’t really sick. I just felt like I was so it was kind of a waste of time to stay home but I thought was going to get sick. In 3rd grade, I went to school all year and never felt sick and same with 4th grade. It is now 5th grade and I went to school all year and at the beginning of the summer I was having really bad pain in my left side.
So I went into the doctor and they had done x-rays on my side and they didn’t find anything. They sent me home and I just layed on the couch in pain and I didn’t eat at all. I went in again and they did an ultrasound and I had to drink a lot of water to see if they could see anything but they didn’t. I knew there had to be something wrong so they had to send the test in to the Cities. It was about 3 days later and my mom and I were playing a game. I heard the phone ring and I knew something was wrong. My mom wasn't saying anything and she came back quiet. She said the doctor from the cities was on the phone and I panicked and started crying. I just wanted to stay home and not have pain anymore. The doctor said we had to get to the Cities as soon as possible so I left Saturday morning with my mom and dad. I was really, really scared when I left with my parents. I just wanted to stay where I was and not have to leave.
We headed to the cities and we got checked in and I didn’t want to be there so I was really upset. I had to go into this room and I was watching “Finding Nemo” and they called me to go. I was really sad that my parents had to stay behind and I had to leave them. I remember this guy was telling me a joke about a cow and then I was out. I had to go through this tunnel and the Children’s Hospital. They had to do a shock wave thithotripsy to blast my kidney stone.
I came back and I was glad to see that my parents were there. I had to go back to this room I started in and they wanted to watch me for a little while to see if I would react to anything.
I was persistent that we go home that night so we left the  hospital at around 11 that night. We got home around 1 and my sisters were still up waiting for me! They wanted to make sure we made it home that night. They had to put a stint in me to make sure the kidney stone would come out of me. I had that in me for about 2 weeks I think and then I went back there and had it taken out.
That was the scariest surgery I have ever been with and I hope I never have to go through that pain again. I am glad my parents were there with me and stayed positive that this was gonna work and I would not have anymore pain. My sisters sometimes want me to be the quiet little girl I was when I had my kidney stones, but they are glad I am the girl I am today! I bug my sisters and they really want me to have my kidney stones back but they want me to stay the girl I am.

Grandma Bolt

    Grandma Bolt

Have you ever had to trust in God for anything? Have you ever had to go through a hard time in your life?  Have you ever had a relative or a person you know be diagnosed with cancer? It is really hard to just trust that God will be there and take care of them. Well, my Grandma was told that she had cancer in December.

This essay is about my Grandma Bolt. I have known my Grandma since I was born. She has always been there for me. When I am sick at school I can always go there, or before a volleyball, basketball or baseball game, and for our concerts she has been there without my grandpa all these years. I wish I could have gotten to know him. My grandma always tells me stories about him and how he died when I was 8 months old. I wish I would have known him.

She has said so many things that meant a lot to me, so I can’t remember all of them. She has pointed me to God by reading the Bible after every meal and praying before every meal. She has also taught me to trust in God. She has to trust in God when she has cancer, why can’t we trust in God for the smaller things?
My Grandma was suppose to have knee replacement at the end of December and instead of that she was told she had cancer. She had to go for 2 months getting chemo and radiation. She stayed at Hope Lodge, a place in the cities where you can stay and take a shuttle to the hospital. She has made a difference in my life because she has stayed strong through all the cancer. She actually lost her voice and she couldn’t swallow anything she kept her faith in God, and pushed through the hard times of her life which makes me want to be like her when I get older.

She has always been there when we need her. She loves it when we grandkids stop by to say “hi!” She loves when we can all come home for Christmas and spend it all together. She likes being a part in our lives and I like her to be there. I like being a part of her life.
She has also made a difference in my life after staying strong after my grandpa died 14 years ago. She has stayed strong and I want to be like her someday. She is basically a grandma to everybody. Whoever comes to her house she will take care of. She loves all of my friends I bring over. I want to be like her and have friends like her when I get older. She has really good friends too. They have been taking care of her when she had cancer and they love to stay with her. Joyce Slaghter and Doris Ohden love to go play cards with my grandma and my grandma likes when they come. She always gets really happy.
Well that's all I have to say about my grandma. She is the best Grandma you could ever ask for. I love that she is also this close to us so whenever we need something she is there for us especially in this time she is there for us.

Courtney Groen

                    Courtney Groen

Have you ever had a really good friend you can tell everything. Have you ever had somebody be there for you when you go through hard times? Well Courtney Groen is a good friend to me.
Courtney Paige Groen there is a lot to say about her so let’s get started. She is a very awesome friend and she will talk to me when I need her. She texts me just about every night about things that usually make my life a little better everyday. Courtney is a 5’ 2” freshman at Central Minnesota Christian School.  She is a good student and gets good grades on test and on her homework.
Courtney was born at Rice Memorial Hospital on August 20, 1995 her parents are Todd and Jane Groen and she has a little brother in 7th grade and his name is Jacob. Her Grandparents are really nice and live on the end of Courtney's driveway. Her other grandma lives in Prinsburg so Courtney can always walk to her house after School. Courtney's grandpa died when she was eight years old.
Courtney has had braces for 2 1/2 years and just got them off this past summer in August. She has mostly always had shorter brown hair, she had longer hair 2 years ago but otherwise she has always had shorter hair like shoulder length. She has blueish green eyes, depending on the day they switch color. Courtney is 15 years old right now, she will be 16 in August of this next year.  She is 10 months older than me.
Courtney plays volleyball, basketball and she is in J.O. Which is Junior Olympics She is a d.s.- Defensive specialist. Her position is a right, but she can play middle or a left. She is really good at all sports.  She used to play softball for our school but she decided not to this year.  She has played  summer softball for MACCRAY for two summers now and she plans to keep playing. Courtney is really good at sports and she is really fast. She is a guard in basketball and she doesn't know if she will play next year.
Courtney has inspired me by being the strong Christian she is. She is always in a good mood and is never mad at anybody. What if Courtney was tall and had blonde hair? She just wouldn't be the same girl that I have known since preschool! What if she was sad and depressed everyday of her life? I don't know if I could be friends with her.  What if Courtney wasn't good at sports? What if I never became friends with her. There is a lot of things I could say about Courtney but she isn't those things she is Courtney Paige Groen and is a 5’2 freshman at Central Minnesota Christian School. She is a very bubble person and can put anybody in a very good mood.  Courtney is a friend to everybody!

lillie Hankel vs. Courtney Groen!

                Lillie Hankel vs. Courtney Groen

Let’s get to know Courtney and Lillie a little bit better. First let’s get to know their history. Let’s see what they have similar with each other.
Courtney was born at Rice Memorial Hospital and raised in a Christian home. She has a mom named Jane and a dad named Todd and a brothers who’s name is Jacob. Lillie’s history is about the same. She was born at Rice Memorial Hospital. She goes to a Christian school and church. Lillie has a sister, Kristi, and two brothers, Zach and Jamie. Lillie also has a mom and dad which their names are Scott and Sara. They were also both born on a farm.

Now lets see what they have similar to each other. They both play volleyball for season and they both play J.O, which is Junior Olympics. Volleyball is also both Courtney and Lillie’s favorite sport. Both of them get fairly good grades in school. They do well     on most tests. They are both freshman girls that go to Central Minnesota Christian School. They are both fun to be around and very loving girls. People love to be around both of them. They are both very amazingly gorgeous girls.

Lillie has a dog and Courtney only has a cat. Lillie also has two horses and Courtney has only had cats. Courtney has also had braces for 2 1/2 years and Lillie has never had braces. Lillie also goes to Bunde and Courtney goes to Emden. They both have many others things in common and a lot more things similar. But I can’t name everything about them or I would have to write a book to say everything good about both of them.
Courtney plays basketball and Lillie is in One Act at the same time. Courtney has dark gorgeous shorter hair and Lillie has long beautiful blonde hair. Courtney is 5’ 2 and Lillie is 5’ 6, so there is a height difference between  Courtney and Lillie. Courtney has a boyfriend who is Weston Hanson. Lillie doesn’t have a boyfriend yet! Well, Lillie thinks she has an imaginary boyfriend named Charlie.

They have one more thing similar. They both are very nice to all of their classmates and cares for all them. We would all hate for them to ever leave our school. I hope they both stay at our school until the day they graduate.

June is a good month!

June is the best month of the year!

June is the best month of the year. You get out of school for 3 months. Then you have summer. You can hang out with your friends later than you can usually because you don’t have to go to school or be worried you will be tired in school. That is why June is the best month of the year.
You have warmer weather in June. It is not too hot but not too cold. You don’t have mud or puddles from the rain. You get to go swimming at pools or go to the lake. You can go camping. Can’t you just smell the fresh air of camping. When you go to the lake you can go fishing, get mosquito bites, see fireflies, have a campfire and have smores. You can feel the sunburn when you go to bed that night. In June you can do a lot of things. You can get tan, go swimming, go on vacation and not have to make up school work. You have 30 days in June of no school and nice warm weather. Who wouldn't like June?
Writing this paper makes me want summer, wearing shorts and going to baseball games at night. When it is nice out you can go on bike rides and for walks without it being cold out. June is definitely the best month. It should be 2 months instead of just one.  June is “adopt a shelter cat month”. I like cats. That’s why I  like this month.
In May you want to get out of school and teachers get mad at you for not concentrating on your homework. That is why June is better because you have no school so you don’t have to worry about going to bed on time or getting up and getting ready for school.
In June you can watch the flowers bloom and see the grass be green. You can have a garden. You can see everything grow and get tall. June is also a good month because it rains sometimes which if you have a really hot day then you will be glad that we have rain. June is also a good month because you can go tubing and swimming because the water will be at a good temperature. June is also a good month because you can get sunburnt but the sun isn’t too hot.
June is also a good month because my birthday is in June which is good because it is hot in June. I can basically do anything for my birthday because I don’t have to go to school the next day. I can stay up late and do whatever I can. June is an awesome month just because it is in the middle of the year. You get presents for Christmas and for my birthday which are 6 months apart so you don’t get presents too close together. June is the perfect month. It is the right temperature. You get out of school in May and you don’t have to go back for 2 months after June.
June is a good month to go camping. You can wear shorts and go to baseball games. You can start to get tan so when it gets really hot in July you don’t get too sunburnt. You can play volleyball in the sand at the campground I go to.  You can go in the sun and go swimming right after. In June there is rain so it isn’t all sun which makes it good! In June there is mostly sun though. June is also a good month because you can wear short and tank tops which makes you tanner. You can get ready for hotter weather.

The Crash

There was a beautiful girl. Her name was Kailey.  She loved to hang out with her friends. She was 17 years-old so she was in that rebellious stage. She didn't come home when she was suppose to, she disobeyed her parents, she went and stayed at her friend’s house. Even though her parents told her to be home by 12:00.
There was this boy at school that liked her but he was a bully. So Kailey didn't really want to be friends with this boy, but she thought since he didn't have any other friends she should be friends with him. Kailey lived on a farm about 20 miles away from the school she went to. This boy  was trying to be really nice to this girl. since he liked her he thought she would have to be nice to her and her friends. One day they hung out at her house. She had long orange hair. She looked beautiful for this boy. His name was kyle and he was 19 years old. She waited for Kyle to come and  to get to class.
That night they were texting and they decided that she was going to come over to his house. The week went by and it was Friday night and she was just about to leave. She told her parent she was leaving and they waved at her through the window.
Kyle and Kailey didn't live very far away from each other, maybe 15 miles. She was singing to the song that was on the radio. She lost control of the car and it went from one side of the road to another. Then the car rolled and she wasn't wearing her seat belt. There was a person driving behind her so they stopped and Kailey was unconscience. So the person called 911.The ambulance came and took her in she had a lot of bruises all over her body. The hospital called her parents and they came. Kyle was getting worried because Kailey told him that she was leaving an hour ago. Then Kailey wakes up in a panic and thinks she has to go to Kyle’s even though she doesn't even know a kyle. She doesn’t have a Kyle in her school and she was grounded so she wouldn't go anywhere. That weekend went by and and that Monday there was a new guy at school and his name was Kyle. That Kyle was way nicer than the Kyle in other dream. This Kyle liked Kailey and Kailey liked Kyle. So those 2 dated  for four years. This Kyle actually came over and they hung out quite a bit. Kailey and Kyle got married in the summer about four years after they started dating. They lived in California so now it is Kailey and Kyle Kronilockin. They lived a long and happy life together they had Four kids three girls and one boy. They would always bring them to the park in the summer. Kailey’s job was a vet and Kyle’s was a construction worker. Kailey’s attitude was passed down to her oldest daughter. She was a brat. Kailey didn’t like her attitude. I guess it was a normal teenage girl. The next boy was just like his dad. He liked to be outside all the time. He liked to go to work with his dad and the next girl’s name was Courtney. She was a nice little princess. She never got in trouble. She was a good girl in school and got good grades and she had a lot of friends. Then there was the youngest girl. Well obviously you have to spoil them because they are the youngest. So whenever they would go to the grandparents she would get spoiled. When they got older the family got to take family vacations to the rocky mountains and to a lot of different states.  The oldest girl was like Kailey when she was young she wanted everything and if she didn’t she would start throwing things. The boy looked exactly like Kyle. He had dark hair and dark eyes. This little boy’s name is Karson.  The family is cute and the kids are only 2 years apart. Kailey got  lot of money from her job she was a vet so she worked during the day when the kids are in school. Kyle was a construction worker. He worked from 8 to 5.

Did you ever?

Did you ever feel the snow fall down on your face?
Crunch under your feet when you walk.
Did you ever taste the hot chocolate?
Steamy and refreshing.
Did you ever see the snowmen?
5 feet tall getting buried in snow.
Did you ever hear the snow blower?
Blowing the sidewalk off so you can get out.
